REGIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Orchestra has "sister" relationships with the following regional Chinese
orchestras - the Hong
Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra, the Keat Hong Chinese Orchestra of Singapore,
the PCC Chinese
Orchestra of Malaysia, the Singapore Temasek Polytechnic Chinese
Orchestra, the
Hong Kong Juvenile and
Youth Chinese Orchestra, and Hong Kong YWCA Chinese Orchestra.
THE AUSTRALIAN
CHINESE MUSIC
ENSEMBLE
The Chao Feng Chinese Orchestra has collaborated and jointly performed
together
with the Australian Chinese Music Ensemble on a number of occasions.
Sheng
soloist Mr. Wang Zhengting and Dizi soloist Mr. Dong Qiuming both
members of
this Ensemble also tutor a number of CFCO members. The Ensemble is an
internationally acclaimed group which performs regularly at major
festivals and
musical events all over Australia.
MR. SHEN PAN GENG
Mr. Shen is an erhu soloist and was formerly assistant professor of the
Music
Department at Nanjing Education University. He is now a music teacher
and music
director of the Penleigh & Essendon Grammar Chinese Orchestra. He
has
performed with us many times and was conductor of the Orchestra's
annual
concerts in 1991 and 1992.

25th anniversary concert (2007) with Hong Kong YWCA Chinese Orchestra in
Melbourne Town Hall.
