Professional Cultural Center Orchestra
(Malaysia)
Professional Cultural Center Orchestra was established in
1989. It has been a driving force in promoting Chinese music, contributing to
Malaysian' ethnic diversity. Since its establishment, it has organised five
Chinese orchestral and two singing concerts. Besides performances, the orchestra
also actively coaches and helps to establish Chinese orchestra in schools and
other organisations. It has always endeavoured to groom local talents and
encourage local compositions in order to further develop and promote Chinese
music in Malaysia context. It has also taken steps to enforce full-time
employment of its orchestra members.
